February 6, 2015: WSP, Built Ecology team members Charles Chaloeicheep and David Mead will be participating on a panel at Facades+ Los Angeles entitled "Net Zero and the Future Facade." The panel is coordinated by Stacey Hooper of NBBJ and Alan Shepherd of WSP, Built Ecology. Discussion will cover ways designers manage competing intentions to deliver balnaced, high-quality designs. Participants will identify and discuss strategies for high-performance facade systems, designing access to daylighting, and environmental control by passive building systems.
January 30 2015: WSP will be attending, sponsoring, and serving on a panel discuss at World Resources Institute's (WRI) Greenhouse Gas (GHG) Protocol launch event in Washington D.C. The launch event, GHG Protocol Scope 2 Guidance: Electricity Procurement will outline the recently unveiled new requirements and quality criteria for the Corporate Standard that resolves ambiguity around how corporations report Scope 2 emissions – those from purchased electricity, steam, heat, and cooling. January 29 2015: WSP will be attending and hosting a booth at the Rhode Island League of Cities and Towns Annual Convention at the Crowne Plaza in Warwick, RI. The League's Annual Convention is its showcase event featuring two dozen workshops and seminars for local government officials.
January 20-22 2015: WSP will be attending, hosting a booth at and sponsoring the 2015 NYSCHSA Winter Program & Expo, hosted by the New York State County Highway Superintendents Association and held at the Holiday Inn in Albany, NY. The Winter Conference and Trade Show is the largest gathering of superintendents, commissioners and their staff in the state looking for innovative and cost-effective solutions.
